The actor Kida Khodr Ramadan (47), star of the clan series “4 Blocks”, has to go to prison. The background to this is a conviction for driving a car without a license on multiple occasions and for forging documents and a prison sentence of ten months. The Berlin-Tiergarten district court initially suspended the sentence on probation in February 2022. However, this has now been revoked, as a court spokeswoman confirmed to FAZ.NET upon request on Thursday. The “Bild” newspaper and the German Press Agency (dpa) had previously reported.

At the same time as the sentence, Ramadan was ordered to pay a total of 20,000 euros to charities within a deadline. As a spokeswoman for the responsible district court told FAZ.NET, this involved 10,000 euros each to the support association “Arrest im Kieferngrund eV” and to the Association for the Promotion of the Visually Impaired eV. However, despite multiple reminders, this sum was not paid in full, so that The district court revoked the probation in January 2023, the spokeswoman explained.

All instances exhausted

The actor defended himself against this – but his complaints were unsuccessful both before the Berlin Regional Court and before the Superior Court of Last Instance. According to the court spokeswoman, all legal remedies have been exhausted. Ramadan must now expect that he will receive a summons to go to prison. According to the district court’s knowledge, the public prosecutor’s office has not yet initiated enforcement.

His defense attorney did not want to comment when asked by the German Press Agency, citing his duty of confidentiality. There was initially no comment from Ramadan himself or his management.

In the award-winning television series “4 Blocks”, Ramadan played the head of a criminal clan of Arab origin in Berlin-Neukölln, which has to deal with murder, violence, drug deals, other gangsters and the LKA investigators.

In real life, the actor surprisingly announced a break in June 2023. “I got overworked and realized I was no longer the person I wanted to be. That’s why I’m taking some time out to calm down and honestly reflect,” the TV star wrote on Instagram. He wants to be a good role model for his children. “That’s why I’m going to work hard on myself to come back stronger and create positive things together with you,” he said at the time.
