Targeted police actions were carried out throughout the territory during the four days from March 15 to 18, as part of the implementation of the Strategic Planning of the Hellenic Police Headquarters to deal with crime and improve the level of security for citizens.
In this context, teams were active with the participation of visible and invisible police officers, from various Services, taking into account the local operational plans and emphasizing areas and settlements where increased incidents of delinquency are observed.
During the above actions, a total of 57,965 people and 44,579 vehicles were checked throughout the country. 1,859 people were brought in, 654 people were arrested for various offences, 11,336 violations of the Code of Civil Procedure were confirmed, 67 for violation of the anti-smoking legislation, eleven for sound meters, while 60 vehicles were stopped and two were confiscated.
