A man was found dead on the boardwalk of Baracoa, in the province of Guantánamo, causing shock among local residents.

On Tuesday, the body of a Cuban was discovered after drowning in the coastal waters of this city, and those present came to try to help.

Facebook user Aníbal Ferrand shared a video of the rescue, calling the incident “sad.”

The Cubans did not take long to react and commented on the publication, identifying the deceased as Ramón, who supposedly sold with a cot in front of a bakery in that town.

“Sad incident in Baracoa Oriente CUBA, EPD, my deepest condolences to family and friends,” says Aníbal Ferrand’s Facebook message.

The audiovisual material shows divers entering the sea in search of the body of the man who drowned on the Baracoa boardwalk, while curious spectators watch from the shore.

Although the event has generated consternation, the circumstances that led to the fatal outcome have not yet been clarified.

This tragic episode continues to be the subject of investigation, while the community of Baracoa unites in mourning for the loss of one of its inhabitants.

Cubans responded on the social network Facebook, lamenting the loss of this man who was very loved by neighbors. Others ask the reason why this Cuban drowned in that place.

“Painful determination. I think it was emotional imbalance. He was very sociable and helpful. Jocose, known and loved. My respects and condolences to the family. RIP Mr. Amigo Ramón,” a Cuban wrote about the deceased man.
