AMD has given the go-ahead for the sale of custom models of the RX 7600, an RX 6650 XT sold only slightly more. It will also put the compact dual-fan reference model on sale, but it has not gone unnoticed that the eight-pin PCIe socket is not suitable for the connector of any power cable. Some of these 6+2 pin connectors have a difficult or impossible time to insert properly, mainly because of the design of the two extra pins.

After breaking the news, AMD has indicated that the reference model will be on sale in the coming weeks with a design that will have no problem for any 6+2-pin PCIe connector to fit. It is to be imagined that this will be the case for those sold by AMD on its website as well as those sold by its manufacturing partners in stores. Which is a curious design flaw on the part of AMD, which is now correcting as quickly as possible.
