Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara has said that the increase in electricity tariff is inevitable.
Addressing the Parliament on Friday (25), the minister said that no matter who comes to power, he cannot act without increasing the electricity tariff again.

“No matter who is the president, who is the minister, who is running the government, there is no way to avoid another increase in electricity tariff. Sri Lanka does not expect to receive the rains of 2022 in 2023,” he added.
