Apple has announced the launch of new MacBook Pro and Mac Mini computers, which are accompanied by the brand new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips made by the Apple firm itself.
According to Apple, the new MacBook ProAvailable with 14-inch and 16-inch displays, it offers up to six times faster performance than the previous model with the fastest Intel processor. According to the company, its brand new laptop far exceeds its predecessors in absolutely all categories.
The device, which is specially designed for professional use, has a 10 or 12-core CPU with up to eight performance cores and four efficiency cores when the chip is mounted. M2 Pro. Two Mac mini
We have been hearing news about the launch of the new model of Mac mini, which has always been characterized as the entry model within the Apple computer offer. The device will hit stores next Tuesday, January 24, and will do so with a price starting at 719 euros. There will be two different versions, one with M2 and one with M2 Pro.
The first, with M2, which is also the most basic, includes an 8-core CPU, with four for performance and four for efficiency, and a 10-core GPU. More than remarkable, on paper, in terms of speed and performance. Also, it has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
The second and most ambitious, which mounts an M2 Pro, includes a 12-core CPU with eight cores for performance and another four for efficiency, as well as a 19-core GPU. In this case, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage are reached. The price increases to 1,569 euros.
This is the first time that Apple incorporates its leading chips in the mini line. This implies that, in principle, any user, even those who need a computer for professional reasons, will be able to take advantage of the brand new computers. The M2 Max, however, stays in the MacBook Pro and is not present in any of the mini models.
