Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that BNP’s desire to capitalize on Pakistani ideology is to seize power by any means, not public welfare. They went to power and collected their own sugarcane. The people of Bengal were duped by them. So the people of Bengal do not want to see this fraudulent group in power anymore.

He said this in a statement sent to the media on Thursday (March 28). This statement is issued to condemn and protest the false, fabricated and misleading statements of BNP leaders.

Obaidul Quader commented that because BNP does not believe in the spirit of the great liberation war and democracy, it wants to invalidate the meaning of independence and said that every people of the country is now getting the benefits of independence. People have never responded to BNP’s fascist philosophy of undemocratic and radical-sectarian evil, and never will. So BNP has always stood against the people.

In response to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s statement that ‘houses and businesses of BNP leaders and activists are being taken over’, the General Secretary of A.League said that he (Mirza Fakhrul) has given fabricated and baseless statements without providing any concrete evidence. . Rather, we can see that the BNP leaders and activists are doing business under the existing regime. No political vendetta is taking place anywhere.

He said that after BNP came to power in 2001, millions of Awami League leaders and activists had to leave their homes due to political violence, Awami League leaders and activists were subjected to brutal torture and torture for the crime of voting by boat. Thousands of women were raped by BNP-Jamaat cadres. 21 thousand Awami League leaders and activists were killed across the country.

Obaidul Quader said that under the undisputed leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest father of the Bengali nation, the Bengali nation gained independence in 1971 through a united armed struggle against the Pakistani invaders. After achieving independence, Bangladesh was led by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the spirit of the Great Liberation War.

He also said that the father of the nation gave the constitution to the nation based on the ideals of the great liberation war. Communal politics on the basis of religion is prohibited. But after the murder of the father of the nation and his family, the murderous Zia-Mushtak gang destroyed the spirit of the liberation war and the democratic values.

General Secretary of Awami League said that the military dictator Ziaur Rahman practiced religion-based politics by using the card of religion to strengthen his illegal and unconstitutional power. Autocracy Zia sowed the poison of communalism at all levels of the state and society and established radical-communal groups in politics. Since then, the politics of divisiveness began. A state-sponsored steam roller of torture was run to eliminate the opposition, especially the Awami League.
