The Finnish driver of the Mercedes team Valtteri Bottas became the winner of the Turkish Grand Prix – the 16th stage of the Formula 1 World Championship. The competition took place at the Istanbul Park Autodrome in Istanbul.
The second place was taken by the Dutchman Max Verstappen from the Red Bull team. The third was his teammate Mexican Sergio Perez. The current world champion Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) finished fifth. Russian Nikita Mazepin from Haas took 20th place.
In the overall standings, Verstappen scored 262.5 points and passed Hamilton, who has 256.5 points. The three leaders are closed by Bottas (177).
The next stage of the season will take place in the American city of Austin from October 22 to 24.
