China Condemns Philippines Congratulation to Taiwan Presidential Election Winner
The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday issued a notice to the Philippine ambassador following the Philippine president’s congratulations to Lai Ching Teh, who won the Taiwan presidential election.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning told reporters, “The Philippines has violated its political commitments with China. It has also interfered in China’s internal affairs.
We ask the Philippines not to play around with the Taiwan issue. The Philippines should immediately stop sending wrong signals to Taiwan separatists.” He said that.
He also said that a notice has been sent to the Philippine ambassador asking him to give a formal explanation on the matter.

Earlier, on Monday, Philippine President Marcos Jr. had congratulated Lai Singh on social media, saying he wanted to strengthen bilateral ties with Taiwan.
