THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior leaders of the Marxist Communist Party in Kerala have strongly condemned the action of senior Congress leader KV Thomas, who attended a party seminar and praised state Chief Minister Binarayi Vijayan.

Kerala is ruled by the Left Democratic Front led by Chief Minister Binarayi Vijayan of the Marxist Communist Party. The convention of the Marxist Communist Party was held here in Kannur district. Senior leaders Sasi Tharoor and KV Thomas were invited by the ruling party to attend yesterday’s event on the final day.
The party leadership ordered that the leaders of the Cong should not participate in the event. Accepting this, Sasi Tharoor did not attend the event. There has been strong condemnation of Thomas’ actions in disobeying the orders of the Injustice leadership against Sasi Tharoor. “If no disciplinary action is taken against Thomas, it will be as if he has done injustice to Sasi Tharoor who acted in defiance of the leadership’s order,” said K. Muralitharan, a Congress MP.
