From May 4 to 10, the next professional training course on behavioral economics in the field of energy was held in London.

The course was developed by specialists from the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources at University College London (UCL) in collaboration with the Institute for Professional Training and Development (IPT).

According to the author of the course, Lorenzo Lotti, the main emphasis was placed on the issues of economic development, changes in the behavior of business entities, and the study of possible risks of impact on the environment in the context of the transition from the use of fossil fuels to “green energy”.

Specialists of energy producing companies, energy enterprises and electrical networks of Armenia participated in the training. It was a continuation of the professional development course dedicated to the problems of changing the economic behavior of market participants in the conditions of the liberalization of the electricity market, which was held on February 18-20 in Yerevan.

The listeners got acquainted with the principles of the liberalization of the electricity market, the challenges of decision-making by energy-producing enterprises in the conditions of a free market, as well as the features of the production cycles of alternative energy sources and the technical possibilities of “green energy” accumulation.

The participation of 4 out of 12 students in the course was made possible thanks to the nominal scholarship of the Ministry of Education and Culture. It was established in honor of Rima Khachatryan, an honored pedagogue of the Republic of Armenia, whose innovative method of teaching, aimed at the formation of results, was widely popular among the pedagogical community in the 1990s and significantly contributed to the development of educational reforms in Armenia.
