Chennai: Corona infection has been confirmed in 575 new people in Tamil Nadu. Of these, a maximum of 144 people were infected in Chennai, followed by Coimbatore at 81 and Chengalpattu at 66.
On the other hand, another 1,913 have left Corona and returned home. This brings the total number of survivors so far to 34 lakh 144.
According to the Department of Health, there are currently 9,440 people under medical supervision in hospitals and homes.
The death toll from the disease has risen to 37,997 in Tamil Nadu following the death of 4 more people affected by corona.
