Cremation Of Varun Singh: Farewell to Varun Singh, body taken to Bhopal, cremation today

Bhopal: Group captain Varun Singh, who died in a helicopter crash, will be laid to rest today. Troops pay their last respects to the body of Varun Singh, who was airlifted to Yelahanka Air Base in Bangalore. The Air Force personnel at the Air Force base in Salur where Varun Singh worked also arrived in Bem Galuru to bid farewell to the brave colleague. After paying his last respects, Varun Singh’s body was flown to Bhopal on a military plane. This is where the cultural ceremonies are scheduled. Varun Singh’s close relatives had come to Bangalore to collect the body.

Air Force group captain Varun Sim Gai was the only survivor of a helicopter crash in Coonoor that killed 13 people, including Joint Chiefs of Staff Bipin Rawat. He was admitted to a military hospital in Ooty in critical condition with more than 80 per cent burns. He was later airlifted to the Air Command Hospital in Bamglur by air ambulance. In the early stages of treatment, Varun Singh responded well to the medication but later the change in blood pressure became a challenge. His health deteriorated on Tuesday night and he was pronounced dead yesterday morning. Varun Singh’s father, retired Colonel KP Singh, and close relatives arrived in Bangalore early in the morning following reports of ill health. Varun Singh’s brother is in the Navy.

Varun Singh has made a name for himself in the Air Force after the Tejas aircraft lost control and crashed while taking off, landing safely after a technical glitch. Following this incident, the country honored this brave soldier with the Chaurya Chakra award. He has been described as one of the most fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force. He was considered for India’s flagship project Gaganyan but later withdrew due to health reasons.

The soldier who was honored by the country with the solar wheel is bidding farewell. He was the directing staff at the Wellington Defense Services Staff College. Zulur arrived at the air base to receive the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh offered condolences on the death of Varun Singh.
