Tappan (New York)∙ As part of the promotion of Malankara Orthodox Syriac Church’s North East American Bhadrasana Family & Youth Conference, a group representing the organizers of the conference visited St. Peter’s & St. Paul’s Malankara Orthodox Church, Tappan, New York.
After Mass on Sunday 12th March, Vicar Fr Thomas Mathew welcomed the conference team. Bhadrasana Council member Bijo Thomas and former Bhadrasana Council member Ajith Vatasseril were in the group.
George Varghese (Secretary) introduced the team. In his sermon, the vicar reminded of the importance of attending the family conference and encouraged everyone to attend the conference.
Ajith Vatasseril spoke about the venue of the conference, Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center and shared general information about the conference. Bijo Thomas also provided registration, souvenir and sponsorship details.
On behalf of the parish, George Varghese (Parish Trustee) handed over the souvenir sponsorship check to the conference team. Secretary handed over the registration form to the office bearers. Officials informed that more members will register and participate in the conference in the coming days. Priests and laymen from parishes in North East America and Canada will participate in this largest conference of Bhadrasana.
The conference will be held from July 12 to 15, 2023 at the Holy Transfiguration Retreat Center in North East American Bhadrasana. Europe/Africa Chancellor Dr. Abraham Mar Stefanos Metropolitan will be the keynote speaker. South West American Bhadrasana Youth Minister Fr. Matt Alexander will lead the youth sessions. The theme of this year’s conference is “I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh” from Joel 2:28. For more information, Fr.
