(ANSA) – ROME, DECEMBER 09 – Pele’s daughters wanted to reassure fans via social media about the conditions of the Brazilian champion, hospitalized at Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo. “In two or three days he comes home to enjoy Christmas. This wasn’t a surprise.” The hospitalization “was already planned and is part of the treatment,” wrote Kely Nascimento on Instagram, posting a photo in which her sister, Flavia Kurtz, hugs her smiling father in a hospital bed. By publishing the same image, Flavia Kurtz invited everyone to be “calm” explaining that this is the “last visit of the year to Einstein” to continue “the treatment, with control exams and chemo” and that “my father is fantastic!!!”. Pelé, 81, was hospitalized to undergo a new cycle of treatments after having been operated on in the same hospital for colon cancer “detected last September”, according to a note from the hospital. Albert Einstein yesterday also made it known that “the patient is in stable condition, and the forecast is that he will be discharged in a few days”. (HANDLE).
