Gabriel Attal will put several options on the table during a government seminar devoted to work at the end of March.

Parents’ schedules (especially divorced parents) could become lighter in the months to come. In La Tribune SundayPrime Minister Gabriel Attal said he was considering several avenues to simplify their lives: either reducing the number of working days to four days, or reducing the number of working days to four and a half days, or establishing “differentiated” weeks comprising four days of work for divorced parents when it is their turn to welcome their children.

During his time at Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal had already experimented with the four-day week in his administration, without reduction in working hours. In January in his general policy speech, Gabriel Attal asked his ministers “to experience the week in 4 days, without reduction in working time” In “their central and decentralized administrations”. These options should be put on the table during a government seminar devoted to work on March 27.
