The chairman of Torah Judaism, MK Rabbi Yitzhak Goldknopf, strongly condemned the calls that took place earlier against Defense Minister Benny Gantz at the Western Wall: “I condemn the evil attack against Minister Benny Gantz at the Western Wall this evening. Unfortunately, there are people who do not know how to separate Political controversy and face-whitening. The Western Wall belongs to every Jew, regardless of who he is. Face-whitening is prohibited against any person, and certainly against those who sacrificed their lives for the State of Israel.”
He also added that “the Temple was destroyed because of gratuitous hatred, the Western Wall is the last remnant of it. On Hanukkah we are commanded to increase light and gratuitous love and not hate, God forbid.”
