The mayor of San Salvador, Mario Durán, shared a Christmas dinner with the homeless people who take refuge every night at the Katya Miranda Municipal Shelter, within the framework of the December festivities.
“This is a very special gathering, which was prepared with great love to remind all the users of this facility that here they will always find a refuge where a family awaits them, who is at their service. This administration will continue to look after you, so that you have the best conditions,” Durán said.
Over the weekend, the Historic Center had 5,000 typical dinners, as a prelude to Christmas. On the Christmas Night Street on Constitución Boulevard, 10,000 pupusas were also scheduled to be distributed to attendees.
Likewise, so that Salvadorans and foreigners can enjoy the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, the mayor of San Salvador has prepared several free activities in the main public spaces of the capital, such as Plaza Salvador del Mundo, from Monday to Friday from 4:00 p.m.
