The International Cricket Council (ICC) selects and honors the best cricketer every month. Accordingly, 2 out of 3 Indian players have been selected in the nomination list for the best player award for the month of January.

New Zealand’s Daewan Conway, India’s Subman Gill and Mohammed Siraj have been shortlisted for the Player of the Month award for January.

Davon Conway has scored 3 centuries and 2 fifties in the last month. He contributed well in the Test and ODI series in Pakistan and also played brilliantly against India. That’s how he made it to this list.

Last month was a great one for India’s star batsman Subman Gill. He scored a double century in the ODI series against New Zealand and a century in the T20I series. The 23-year-old Subman Gill not only retained his place in the Indian squad but also made it to this list with his impressive performance last month.

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj has emerged as the promising star of Indian bowling. It is noteworthy that he has become the No. 1 bowler in the ODI rankings after showing a great bowling performance in the last series against New Zealand.

Similarly, Australia’s Beth Mooney, Poppe Litchfield and England’s Grace Scrivens have been selected for the Player of the Month award for January.
