Seven people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a paramedic in southern Lebanon, a Sunni Muslim organization said on Wednesday.
The office of the Islamic Emergency and Rescue Committee in Hebrew Village was hit by an overnight Israeli attack.
The organization has released the names of the 7 medical personnel who died.
Conflict between Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Israel has been flaring since the October Hamas offensive began. This is the worst attack in the war that has been going on for more than 5 months.
A statement released by the organization said that the blatant attack on the relief team is condemnable.
The Hizbullah organization has said that it is going to retaliate for sure.
Israel’s military said in Hebrew that it destroyed a military compound of the Lebanese Muslim Organization and killed a member of the terrorist group. The army said the man had taken part in an attack against Israel and killed several others along with him.
Since the October 7 Israel-Hamas attack, the conflict has been erupting on the border between Lebanon and Israel. The war, which has been going on only on the border since last February, is now spreading across the border as Israel launched an offensive in northeastern Lebanon.
