Last minute boost. Ex-Gilboa/Galil, Joe Thomason, a shooting guard with a height of 1.93, concluded his terms at Maccabi Tel Aviv and will be able to register for the Euroleague, where the window for adding players closes tomorrow.

Rayjon Tucker, who stars in Venice, was the first option of Oded Ketch and Maccabi Tel Aviv. His Italian team did not agree to release him, so Thomason became the leading option for the Yellows. Thomason played this season in Granada alongside Yeftah Ziv and scored 14.1 points per game with 3.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He was selected for the top five of the second Champions League in 2022 while a player of Narsa, a year in which he was also selected for the top five of the second league in Spain.

The guard scored 14.2 points per game (41% from three) in the 2020/21 season in which he played in Gilboa/Galil and added 4.4 assists. Gilboa reached the final series that season, where they lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv. From there he went on to Manorsa, Zenit St. Petersburg, Prometheus and Granada, where he started the season.

Ketch’s yellows have a 12:13 record in the Euroleague and are in tenth place leading to the Euroleague play-in, while Fenerbahce are in sixth place which leads to automatic qualification and a 10:15 record. Thomason, if he does arrive, will join the guard rotation led by Wade Baldwin and Lorenzo Brown.
