Judgments issued for someone impersonating a general manager and a convict who attacked food transport vehicles

Today, Sunday, the Supreme Judicial Council announced the issuance of rulings for an impersonator of a general manager and a convict who attacked food transport vehicles with the intention of taking royalties.

The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by the (INA): “The Maysan Criminal Court issued three different sentences of severe imprisonment against a convict who fired shots targeting food transport vehicles with the intention of taking royalties,” indicating that “the first ruling was Imprisonment for a period of four years, while the second and third were imprisonment for three years, to be carried out successively.”
He added, “These provisions are based on the provisions of Article 430/1 of the Penal Code and in accordance with Articles 47, 48, and 49 of the Code.”
He continued, “The Rusafa Criminal Court also issued a sentence of severe imprisonment for two years against a person who impersonated the position of Director General of the Legal Department of the Integrity Commission and took sums of money,” pointing out that “the person impersonated the position of a lawyer and Director General of the Integrity Commission and was receiving sums of money in exchange for facilitating the completion of transactions.” Citizens in the State Real Estate Department.
He explained, “The court issued its ruling in accordance with the provisions of Resolution 160/First/1 and 2 of 1983 and inference to the provisions of Article 132/3 of the Penal Code.”
