Karnataka Covid Precautions: With the spread of covid in foreign countries, masks and sanitizers are making a comeback. In India, the central government has already issued several guidelines for pre-emptive measures.

The central government has also issued a list of guidelines and advisories for all the states and Union Territories to take precautions to contain the Corona virus and avoid the risks of any wave.

Meanwhile, the neighboring state of Karnataka has issued important guidelines in view of the increasing number of Covid cases in some foreign countries including China.

According to the guidelines issued by the Government of Karnataka, 7 days home quarantine has been made mandatory for travelers coming from some countries. According to the new guidelines, the government has made 7 days home quarantine mandatory for travelers coming from 6 countries.

Below are the detailed guidelines issued by the Government of Karnataka :-

The Karnataka government has now made home quarantine mandatory for all travelers arriving from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand. That is, the central government has already announced a law requiring passengers from these countries to produce their RT-PCR test reports before leaving the airport. Apart from that, this Act was issued by the Government of Karnataka.

As per guidelines issued by Karnataka State Health Department
Asymptomatic passengers should self-monitor for 7 days after leaving the airport. During this time, the state health department strictly advises to strictly follow proper Covid behaviors like self-monitoring, wearing masks, social distancing, hand hygiene etc. In this way, passengers should stay in home quarantine for 7 days.

Meanwhile, 12 passengers who arrived at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru last December were confirmed to be infected with Covid-19. Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar informed the media about this last week. He also said that samples of all positive cases have been sent for genome sequencing to detect Covid variants.

But in Karnataka, masks have already been made mandatory in crowded places like schools, colleges, malls, restaurants, pubs and cinema theatres. The health minister advised that there is no need to panic at present and precautions should be taken as a safety precaution.
