Copenhagen: The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concern that more than seven million people could die in Europe in the coming months if the spread of Kovid disease continues. With this, the total death toll will reach 22 lakh.

The WHO’s warning comes as European countries are reinstating tighter controls as Kovid spreads. As of March 2022, 49 out of 53 countries are likely to experience heavy congestion in the intensive care unit.

Improper vaccination also increases the risk. The death toll from September’s rose from 2,100 in September to 4,200 last week, the group said. Kovid is now the leading lethal disease in Europe and the Middle East.
