Kuwaiti Artist Old Al-Deera Battles Cancer
Kuwaiti artist Khaled Al-Aqrouqa, who is known as “Old Al-Deera,” has been transferred to the Hussein Makki Juma Center for Oncology Treatment in Kuwait after suffering a critical health illness. Al-Deera recently spoke to the Al-Rai newspaper from inside the hospital, revealing that he has been diagnosed with three malignant cancerous tumors in his colon, shoulder, and back.
“I had a nuclear medicine scan, through which it was confirmed that I had three malignant cancerous tumors, in the colon, shoulder, and back,” said Al-Deera. “Currently, I am living on painkillers at the Hussein Makki Juma Center, until the request for treatment abroad is accepted. Oh God, grant us goodness and heal sick Muslims.”
This news comes as a shock to his fans, as Al-Deera had previously battled and recovered from cancer in 2015. He had undergone medical examinations at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, which revealed the return of his illness.
