(ANSA) – JESI, MARCH 20 – A new project on personalized, predictive, preventive and participatory medicine starts from Jesi, in the province of Ancona, aimed at slowing down the processes of biological aging and living better and longer. A project, that of “MedicalBook”, which moves between the table, with the development of new functional foods for health, health facilities and the use of digital platforms where every user, with a few clicks, will be able to have a ‘digital twin’ on which to study personalized therapies.
MedicalBook was born from the agreement between the software house of Jesi Logical System (leader), two agri-food companies such as the Tre Valli Cooperlat from Jesi (dairy) and the Ancona-based “Luciana Mosconi” (dry egg pasta), the Bioesis laboratory also from Jesi, and counts on the scientific support of the Polytechnic University of Marche. The financing of 7.5 million euros is guaranteed by the public and private partnership network, half of which by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (1.5 million) and by the Marche Region (1.5 million from Pr Marche ERDF 2021- 2027 Action 1.1.5). The business plan envisages 15 thousand services sold in the first 3-4 years of operation, with revenues in the order of 7-8 million euros from the sale of specific products.
“MedicalBook – explained the organizers – opens the way to the medicine of the future through the new frontiers of technological innovation: use of digital twins and digital thread models, artificial intelligence, Ngs technologies for genetic sequencing applied to nutrigenomics”. The regional councilor for Productive Activities Andrea Maria Antonini highlighted the employment impacts generated by the project “with 10 new hires scheduled”. However, the platform is designed to put the citizen at the center of the healthcare process and improve collaboration between doctors, healthcare facilities, medical, pharmaceutical, food and health product companies.
