Security cameras captured the moment when two men, in broad daylight, stole from a fruit and vegetable store, located on Avenida Nosso Senhor do Bonfim, in Parque dos Novos Estados, in Campo Grande. The crime happened at 1pm on Tuesday (12).
The images draw attention, because in addition to the busy avenue, after the duo committed the crime, the owner’s dog appears barking to get them “out” of the establishment. The authors took apples, grapes, oranges and plums.
The owner of the fruit and vegetable store, Diane Tres, 41, says that the theft happened in a moment of distraction. An employee had just arrived at the establishment, and they both entered. Suddenly, the merchant says that she heard Nekita, the dog, barking, and when she left, a customer reported the theft. “She is our security, she warns us when we are going into the store”.
According to the trader, this is not the first time this has happened, and petty thefts are frequent. “Especially the fruits, they have no shame, with a straight face they come and take advantage of any distraction from the agent, that’s because I have a camera.”
