Named daily rules to protect against autoimmune diseases

by time news

Pathological conditions of the body in which the immune system attacks its own body are known to science as autoimmune diseases. They are still poorly understood in terms of understanding the causes of occurrence. It is only believed that women of childbearing age and those who are often exposed to toxic substances are at risk. In general, autoimmune diseases can develop in potentially anyone at any age. However, doctors believe that measures to prevent such a risk exist.

Therapist Olga Shulikina, in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, told details about these diseases. According to her, they are conditionally divided into two types – local (damage to individual organs) and systemic (damage to the whole organism). It is believed that the development of diseases is influenced by a combination of factors – including heredity and lifestyle. And the last one can be corrected.

To reduce the risk of immune pathology, the doctor advises to adjust the diet in favor of a healthy diet: be sure to eat fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and also exclude foods with excess refined sugar, salt and cholesterol.

The therapist also noted that it is important to treat colds. In addition, to minimize stressful situations by relaxing from meditation, reading books, moderate sports activities.

“Disturbances in the central nervous system,” the doctor explained, “contribute to an increase in the sensitivity of the immune system.”

The therapist also noted that a person should fully rest and sleep normally, since poor sleep leads to disruptions in hormonal production.
