No getting through to Poland – Belarus refugees are already looking for new routes – Politics abroad

Thousands of refugees are barely able to get through at the heavily secured Belarusian-Polish border.

But according to BILD information, migrants are already planning new routes to get to the EU. The so-called “Ukraine Route”, which leads via Ukraine, Slovakia and the Czech Republic to Germany, is hotly debated in chat groups. However, this border is also barricaded – it has been guarded by 15 additional Ukrainian helicopters since yesterday.

Another alternative route that has been discussed leads via Lithuania to Poland. But the European border guard “Frontex” is already patrolling here – and a state of emergency applies.
