Pyongyang: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has reportedly said that his country’s ultimate goal is to acquire the world’s most powerful nuclear power. Media reports said the announcement came after Kim inspected the country’s new Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test and vowed to counter US nuclear threats with nuclear weapons.
Building nuclear power is to protect the dignity and sovereignty of the nation and its people. Its ultimate goal is to have the strongest, strategic power in the world. Kim said. Kim described the Hwasong-17 as the most powerful strategic weapon in the world. It demonstrated North Korea’s determination and ability to build the world’s most powerful military. Kim also noted that North Korean scientists have made an amazing leap forward in the technology of attaching nuclear warheads to ballistic missiles.
Posing for photos with scientists, engineers, military personnel and others involved in the test, Kim also said he hoped to develop and strengthen the country’s nuclear defenses at an extraordinary speed. They all vowed to preserve the party’s and Kim’s absolute power. They also noted that their missiles will only fly in the direction indicated by Kim.
The powerful Standing Committee of North Korea’s Supreme People’s Assembly awarded the Hwasong-17 missile the title of “DPRK Hero and Gold Star Medal and Order of the National Flag 1st Class”. The full form of the DPRK is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. North Korea also stated that the DPRK has clearly demonstrated to the world that it is a complete nuclear power capable of standing up to the nuclear hegemony of the United States.
