The Civil Police of Mato Grosso do Sul are looking for the fifth person involved in the murder of the athlete from the Ginasloucos group Igor Tavares dos Santos, which occurred in the early hours of the 14th of this month in Paranhos (462 km from Campo Grande), on the border with Paraguay.
The boy, also a resident of Paranhos, had his temporary arrest ordered by judge Ana Cláudia Marques Viegas, from the district of Sete Quedas. His name will not be released as he has not yet been arrested.
In addition to this suspect who was not captured, the judge ordered the temporary arrest of Elvio Alegre, 27, Carmelo Varela Alegre Neto, 21, Douglas Britez, 24, and Jhony Nogueira Villalva, 28.
Officially, the Civil Police did not disclose details of the investigations, nor the possible motivation for the crime. However, the Campo Grande News found that Igor had been killed for getting involved with a compromised woman.

The mastermind would be Elvio Alegre, who has already served time for drug trafficking. Initially, he was sentenced to four years and two months in prison, but, in 2022, the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso do Sul reduced the sentence by half and he was released from jail.
Elvio, Carmelo and Jhony were arrested in Paranhos by the task force made up of police officers from Paranhos, Coronel Sapucaia, Amambai, Sete Quedas and Tacuru.
Douglas was arrested in Jardim Santo André, in Dourados, by police officers from the SIG (General Investigations Sector) of the 1st Police Station. During the investigation, two kilos of cocaine and three pieces of ammunition were seized.

The crime took place in an event house in the Vila Nova neighborhood, in Paranhos. Two other boys, aged 23 and 28, were shot, but survived.
