The Progress MS-19 cargo ship was launched into orbit by a Soyuz-2.1a rocket, which launched this morning from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. This was reported in the press service of Roscosmos.

It is clarified that the launch took place in the normal mode. Shortly after the ship entered orbit, its solar arrays and antennas opened up. Progress MS-19 will reach the ISS in a few days. During this time, he will make 34 revolutions around the Earth.

Docking with the station is scheduled for February 17. In total, the ship must stay in space for 370 days.

“Progress MS-19 will deliver drinking water, fuel, compressed nitrogen, various equipment, medical control materials and sanitary and hygiene products, as well as clothing and fresh food to the ISS,” Roscosmos noted.

Among other things, the ship will deliver six small satellites YuZGU-55, which will later be launched into orbit by Russian cosmonauts.
