Time.news – Vladimir Putin stressed that Moscow is ready to find “diplomatic solutions” with the West to put an end to the Ukrainian crisis. Russia’s interests and security “are not negotiable,” the Russian president reiterated.
Putin, who spoke in a televised speech on the occasion of the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland, however stressed that the “diplomatic solutions” do not have a “negotiable” character of the interests and security of the country. “Our country is always open to direct and honest dialogue to find diplomatic solutions to the most complex problems. However, the interests and safety of our citizens are not negotiable for us.”
“The sanctions will not solve anything with Russi. It is difficult to imagine” that Moscow “will change foreign policy under the threat of restrictive measures”, commented on his part by the Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, after the announcement of American President Joe Biden of new economic measures against Moscow in response to the Ukrainian crisis.
