Fishermen have been advised not to go to the Andaman Sea areas and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal for 3 days.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department said that a low pressure area is likely to form in the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjacent South Andaman Sea areas tomorrow and it will strengthen into a depression in the next 48 hours and may prevail over North East-Pudwai and adjacent South Andhra coastal areas on the 8th.
Heavy rain is also expected in Tuticorin, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai and Karaikal.
