Malayalee’s favorite actor Mohanlal is making his directorial debut with Burroughs, which is slated to release in March 2023. The film, in which Mohanlal himself plays the title role, has completed its shooting and is in the post-production stage. Santhosh Sivan is the cameraman of the film which is being prepared in 3D.
The film started with the screenplay of Jijo Punnos and then got stalled and later TK Rajeev Kumar and Mohanlal prepared a new screenplay. This big budget film is being made a reality in collaboration with Navodaya. Ashirwad Cinemas is the main producer. It is reported that the film will be dubbed and released in other languages as well.
Burroughs is a film announced in April 2019. The official launch of the film was on March 24 last year. Mohanlal had said on the stage of Bigg Boss season four that Burroughs will be presented on an international platform. “Burroughs is a 3D film.
‘Burrows’ is produced by Ashirwad Cinemas. Mohanlal is making the film based on the story of Jijo, who directed ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’, India’s first 3D film. Spanish stars Paz Vega and Rafael Amargo also act in the film. Raphael will play the role of Vasco da Gama in Burroughs. Paz Vega will play the role of his wife. Paz Vega is an actress known for films like Sex and Lucia, All Roads Leads to Heaven, etc. Mohanlal is currently gearing up for Jeethu Joseph’s film Ram.
