Just about three months ago Rocketstar broke the internet as soon as it released the first trailer for one of the biggest games of the last decade: GTA 6 (VI). The trailer reached more than 90 million views already in the first 24 hours from the moment it was published on Rockstar’s YouTube channel, and it officially confirmed to us that the players will return to the city of Vice City (this time in modern times), and the plot of the game will focus on a couple of criminals named Jason and Lucia.
The trailer did reveal to us that the game will be released sometime during the year 2025, but according to sources of the site Kotaku, there is a chance that GTA 6 will be postponed to the end of the year 2025, and may flow into the beginning of 2026.
Last February, Rockstar required all of its employees to return to office work by this April, after for the past few years the development teams worked from home due to the outbreak of the Corona epidemic around the world. Officially, the request was made for reasons of “improving productivity and strengthening security” (especially after the huge leak from 2022 in which quite a few materials from the game’s early development process were exposed), but behind the scenes it seems that Rockstar management is afraid that development will be delayed and the game will be postponed – a situation from which they are trying to avoid at all costs, therefore calling on their employees to return to work in the office.
