Rostec has released a “secure” smartphone for 19,000 rubles

The AYYA T1 smartphone, produced by Rostec structures, is now available for retail sale in M.Video and Eldorado stores. The device from the state corporation will cost customers 19,000 rubles.

AYYA T1 is the development of the Smartecosystem company, which is part of the Rostec Research Institute “Scale”. The smartphone is equipped with an eight-core Helio P70 processor from Taiwanese MediaTek and runs on Android 11. The gadget has a 6.5-inch screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and 4 GB of RAM. It is now offered in two colors – black and green.

Now from the Russian smartphone only software, which is necessarily preinstalled by law. In the future, it is planned to install a Russian operating system and a processor on it, writes Kommersant with reference to representatives of Smartecosystem. The main contender for the title of the domestic hardware base for a smartphone is called the Skif processors of the Elvis Scientific and Production Center in Zelenograd. AYYA T1 “is designed for confidential communication and excludes the collection of personal data” – to prevent leaks in the gadget, the microphone and camera are blocked.

According to the sources of the publication, this year the Scientific Research Institute “Scale” will supply 500 models of the Ministry of Defense smartphones, but in the future, deliveries may grow to 500,000 units.

Last year, the developer of mobile devices Mobile Inform Group and a subsidiary of Rostec, Aeronautical and Information Systems, announced that they would jointly produce secure smartphones and tablets for the corporate sector. Then the investment in the project from Rostec was estimated at 1 billion rubles.
