Atlanta A day before former US President Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, also charged in connection with attempted voter fraud in the state of Georgia, turned himself in to the authorities. The ex-New York City mayor and Trump’s former attorney appeared Wednesday at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, where Trump is due to report on Thursday. As the court announced, his personal details were recorded there. Bail was set at $150,000.
“I’m very, very comfortable with this because I feel like I’m defending the rights of all Americans, as I have done so many times as a US Attorney,” Giuliani, 79, said earlier while leaving his New York home York. He is fighting “for justice” as he has been doing since he was Trump’s attorney.
Giuliani is one of 18 co-defendants accused of working with Trump to influence the outcome of the Georgia presidential election.
