Russian curlers lose to South Korea at the Olympics

The Russian women’s curling team lost to the South Korean team at the Beijing Olympics. The meeting ended with the score 9:5.

The Russian team lost in the first three matches at the group stage of the Olympics and shares 9-10 places with China. In total, 10 teams participate in the tournament, the top four teams will advance to the semi-finals. The Russian team includes Alina Kovaleva, Yulia Portunova, Galina Arsenkina, Ekaterina Kuzmina and Maria Komarova.

Russia dropped from eighth to ninth place in the Olympic medal standings. The team has 12 medals: two gold, four silver and six bronze. The first three places are occupied by Germany, Norway and the USA.
