How the teams arrive
Alvinegro Praiano recovered from the defeat in the classic against Palmeiras and, in the last round, beat Água Santa 1-0. Defender Joaquim scored the winning goal that put Santos in the isolated lead of their group, which still has Portuguesa , Ituano and Santo André fighting for second position.
Despite being packed into the competition, Peixe received some bad news this week.
