SAS Resumes Flights After Planes Checked and Cleared for Service

by time news

Eleven of the 18 SAS planes that were taken out of service on Saturday have been checked and are ready to fly again during the day. But eight departures to and from Arlanda are canceled during Sunday, says Irena Busic, press manager at SAS.

“After intensive dialogue with our suppliers, we have now found solutions that enable us to resume a large part of our regular flights on Sunday,” she writes to TT.

Exactly which flights are involved cannot be said at the moment. Affected passengers will be contacted via SMS or email.

During Saturday, 49 flights were cancelled, according to Norwegian TV2. Three of them were from Arlanda, says Irena Busic. Tonje Sund, press manager for SAS in Norway, tells Norwegian TV2 that all flights to, from and within Denmark and Norway will resume on Sunday.
