Another right-arm pacer Hasan Mahmood has been taken in his place. Hasan, who has played 39 matches for the country, is yet to make his Test debut. He took 49 wickets in 16 first-class cricket matches.
Sri Lanka lead by 1-0 after winning the Sylhet test. The series between the two teams is part of the 2023-25 Test World Championship.
