Soyuz launched from Kuru cosmodrome with Galileo satellites

by time news

Roskosmos reports that the Soyuz-ST-B launch vehicle has successfully launched from the Kourou cosmodrome in French Guiana.

The rocket should launch the Galileo satellites into space. They are made by order of the European Space Agency. Of the 24 vehicles, 14 were delivered into space using Soyuz-2 rockets.

The Soyuz-ST-B launch was postponed three times: from December 2 to December 3, from the 3rd to the 4th, and from the 4th to the 5th. The reasons were unfavorable weather conditions and the unavailability of the station for receiving telemetry information.
