The beta version of the Telegram messenger has a new feature that prohibits other users from sending voice messages. This is reported by the Telegram channel “Durov’s Code”.

The new feature is only available to those who have a Premium subscription. To turn on the barring of voice messages, you need to go to the privacy settings. There you can allow sending voice messages only to your contacts, or leave a few exceptions and prohibit everyone else.

Telegram launched a paid subscription in June 2022. It includes double the limits in most features, the ability to upload twice as large files weighing up to 4 GB, priority when downloading files, no ads, transcription of voice messages. The cost of subscription via Telegram-bot is 299 rubles.
