The Bailiffs Service carried out a technical blocking of funds on one of the Rolf accounts as part of an investigation launched in 2019. The CEO of the car dealer Svetlana Vinogradova announced RBC through the press service of the company.

The company is now working to unblock the account. According to Vinogradova, all Rolf dealerships are operating normally: the car dealer continues to sell new and used cars and is engaged in servicing.

“The purchase of used cars from the free market is limited. We work with new cars as standard, ”said the CEO.

Earlier, the VChK-OGPU telegram channel, citing a source, said that the arrest took place as part of a criminal investigation against the owner of the company, Sergei Petrov, on transferring funds to non-resident accounts using forged documents (Article 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to the telegram channel, Petrov lives outside of Russia and “was seen in opposition activities, which he combined with the withdrawal of funds from Russia.”

In October, Bankavto named Rolf the car dealer with the largest stock of used cars. At the beginning of September, it amounted to 9.2 thousand new cars, and by the end of the month it amounted to 9.7 thousand cars. Of these, the company places 7.1 thousand cars at its sites in Moscow, and 2.6 thousand – in St. Petersburg.
