The league leaders from St. Pauli and pursuers Kiel have done their homework and scored points. Leads, however, surprisingly failed.
FC St. Pauli remains the measure of all things in the 2nd Bundesliga: The league leaders won 2-0 (1-0) at 1. FC Nürnberg on Saturday afternoon and were able to keep their pursuers Holstein Kiel at bay. Johannes Eggestein shocked the “Club” shortly before the half-time whistle (44th minute), before Marcel Hartel followed up (62nd).
The Hamburgers still have a lead of five points over the Kielers. FCN remains in the middle of the table after two wins in a row.

In front of 45,629 fans in the Max Morlock Stadium, the Kiezkickers created an increase in chances in the first round with clear superiority, but the shots remained too harmless for a long time. That only changed shortly before half-time when Eggestein ended his drought of twelve games without a goal with a header.
After the break there were signs of life from Nuremberg’s offensive. St. Pauli’s goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj defused a shot from Jens Castrop (49′). But with his 14th goal of the season, Hartel extended the lead on the other side after a counterattack.
Elversberg against Kiel
The second-place team in the table recently picked up speed again after a mistake and defeated SV Elversberg 2-0 (1-0). Shuto Machino (39th) and Philipp Sander (49th) scored the goals in Kiel’s 15th win of the season. Newly promoted Elversberg is still in the middle of the table.

Rostock against Fürth
