Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said that the work of preparing the list of Razakar is going on in two parts.
The minister said, one is those who have actively worked. For example, they helped the Pakistani invasion forces to identify the roads and burn the houses, helped them to loot, trained them and fought against the brave freedom fighters. A list of them. Another is, those who have named themselves as Razakars to save lives. Maybe there was nothing to say then.
The minister gave this information to reporters after the second session of the third day of the DC Conference at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka on Tuesday (March 5).
He said, now there is a lot of confusion and disagreement about them. So it’s a complicated matter. Still, the committee was made under the leadership of Shajahan Khan. They are working. If that committee sends us the list, we will publish it.
Mentioning that there is a separate committee for the list of Razakar, the minister said, we tried to publish the official list. Then it was seen that the names of many important people or people who were in favor of the war appeared in the list. Then the countrymen protested against it. But their names were on the record.
Mozammel Haque said that they (DC) have been instructed to increase their supervision so that the work of slaughterhouses, preservation of wartime historical places, heroic residence for the brave freedom fighters is done properly. Besides, I have ordered to give priority to the problems of the brave freedom fighters.
