In 2023, the Confederation celebrated its 40th anniversary, one of the most important milestones of the year, and it did so by launching various activities, among which the XXII MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN Congress stands out. The Confederation also presented the reports ‘The situation of mental health in Spain’prepared together with the Mutua Madrileña Foundation, and ‘Treatments and involuntary admissions in mental health‘, developed in collaboration with the Gregorio Peces-Barba Human Rights Institute of the Carlos III University of Madrid. There was also the development of IMPULSE Project within the framework of the call for support for the modernization of Third Sector entities published by the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 with financing from the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain.

Likewise, 2023 was a year of presidential elections of MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN. The Confederation also carried out numerous projects and initiatives to Improve Life Quality of people with mental health problems, and their families and environment. The entity claimed, through its participation in forums and meetings of all kinds, at the state and European level, the promotion of mental health and greater provision of resources for prevention and care, from a comprehensive and community perspective.

Like every year, SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA developed numerous awareness campaigns on the occasion of different world days, with the aim of breaking down the stigmas of mental health problems. On the other hand, the Confederation carried out numerous trainings, workshops and conferences of different themes. Last year, the Confederation continued to develop training, assemblies and meetings scheduled by the Confederation’s working groups, such as the meetings of Board of Directors and Management Commissionhe Mental Health Committee in First Personthe State Network of Women MENTAL HEALTH SPAINand the Human rights commission.

In addition, the actions of support and advice to entities of the associative movement.
