About twenty heads of state and government, most of them European, will meet in Paris on Monday at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron to reaffirm their support for Ukraine, which faces a critical situation in the face of Moscow and whose fate has become dependent on Western aid.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed those gathered at the Elysee Palace via video and told his allies on Sunday that Ukraine’s victory or defeat “depends on you.”
The meeting is attended by leaders from the European Union, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Polish President Andrzej Duda, and prime ministers of about 15 countries in the Union.
On Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron warned his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, that France’s support for Ukraine would not “weaken.” He said in a statement on the X platform, “Russia, under the leadership of President Putin, should not count on any fatigue among the Europeans.”
Macron calls on Europe to take collective action against Russia, at a time when Congress is still obstructing American support, which is extremely important to Kiev. The possibility of Donald Trump returning to the White House also raises concerns for the European Union.
The meeting will address the return of electronic and information attacks by Russia, which has become “more aggressive,” according to the Elysee, which criticized Russian “intimidation” maneuvers.
Representatives of the United States and Canada, as well as British Foreign Secretary David Cameron, will participate in the meeting.
The goal, according to the Elysee, is to “remobilize and study all means to support Ukraine effectively” at a time when Kiev, which lacks weapons and ammunition, faces a very difficult situation in the face of Russia.
The French presidency stressed that “it is about refuting the impression that things are collapsing, and reaffirming that we are not tired and that we are determined to thwart Russian aggression. We want to send a clear message to Putin that he will not win in Ukraine.”
