At a press conference on Sunday morning, police station chief Brit Fyksen at Midtre Hallingdal police station says that the police first received the report of concern at 3pm on Saturday evening.

The police checked the outside of the home but found no grounds to enter the home.

– As no contact was made with any of the residents during the afternoon, the police visited the place again at 8pm and then entered the home. There, the police found four people dead, the police write in the press release on Sunday afternoon.

– The four dead are registered at the address. We are talking about two adults, and two young adults who are related to each other, says Fyksen.

She says weapons have been found at the scene, but will not give more details about the weapons found.

When asked by Dagbladet, Fyksen says that there was no contact between the people in the house and the police when the first patrol came to the house at 3pm.

Mayor of Ål municipality, Solveig Vestenfor, says it is difficult to find words in such a situation.

– Torpo is a typical village in Norway with approximately 400 inhabitants, where everyone knows everyone. This is a defining experience. It is completely unimaginable, says Vestenfor.

The police notified the media about the incident at 10.25pm ​​on Saturday evening.
